Who this policy covers

• Website visitors: anyone browsing www.alignapp.us.
• Customers and households: people who book a cleaning, and anyone present in the home while a session is recorded.
• Cleaners: the professionals who perform and record cleaning sessions.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Booking details: your name, phone number, email, service address, home type and size, and preferred appointment times, submitted through our booking form.
• Payment hold details: we may ask for payment information as a hold in case no one is home at the booked time or service is refused after the cleaner arrives. A completed cleaning is never charged.
• Communications: anything you send us by phone, text, or email.

Session recordings

During a cleaning, the cleaner wears a small camera that records first-person video of the tasks being performed — wiping, folding, loading, tidying — along with basic session details such as the date, time, and general location of the appointment. The camera is pointed at the work, but recordings necessarily capture parts of your home’s interior and may incidentally capture people who are present.

Information collected automatically

Our website is a simple static page and sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability. Booking runs on Google Forms, which processes your submission under Google’s own privacy terms before delivering it to us.

How recordings are handled

• Blurred before use. Faces, screens, documents, ID cards, and other personally identifying details are blurred before footage is used for training or shared with anyone.
• Encrypted. Recordings are encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to people who need it to operate, review, and secure the service.
• Still treated as personal. Even after blurring, footage of your home’s interior could in some cases be associated with you. We therefore continue to treat all recordings and derived datasets as personal information and protect them accordingly.
• Never public, never ads. Footage is used only for AI and robotics training. It is not posted publicly and not used for advertising.

How we use information

• Schedule, perform, and follow up on cleaning appointments.
• Build training datasets for AI and robotics systems and license them to partners. The value of that data is what covers the cost of your cleaning.
• Respond to questions and support requests.
• Detect and prevent fraud, protect safety, and comply with the law.

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

When we share information

• Training-data partners: only the blurred, reduced-identifiability version of recordings, as part of licensed datasets.
• Service providers: cloud storage, scheduling, and communication tools that work under our instructions.
• Legal: when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
• Business changes: in connection with a merger, financing, or sale of the business.

Consent to recording

Recording is a condition of the free cleaning, and by booking you consent to it. You are responsible for letting other adults in the home know a recorded session is taking place, and for keeping the cleaning area clear of anything that should not be on camera. Our cleaners are instructed never to record minors, intimate or medical situations, or sensitive documents, and you can ask the cleaner to pause or stop recording at any time.

Your choices and rights

• Delete a session. You can ask us to delete the footage from your cleaning. Before it has been incorporated into a licensed dataset we can delete it completely. After that point our ability is more limited, and we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot do.
• Access and correction. You can ask what information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it.
• State rights. Depending on where you live, including under Texas privacy law, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. We honor these requests as the law requires, and we will never treat you differently for exercising them.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires. Raw, unblurred footage is kept only for the short window needed for processing and quality review, then deleted. Booking and support records are kept only as long as we need them for operations, tax, and legal purposes. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we use encryption, access controls, and careful review to protect what you share with us.

Children

Our Services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and cleaners are instructed not to record minors. If a child appears incidentally in footage, that footage is blurred or deleted.
